Appearance and Adaptations
Ocellaris clownfish are orange with three white bands on their head and body. The range length of them is 110mm(4.3in). The average length of them is 80mm(3.15in). There are 3 fact of them. The first about its babies. All babies neither male or female are generally just called juveniles. The eggs of ocellaris clownfish is orange. Their eggs is often long between 3 to 4mm. They can lay 100 to 1000eggs which is depending on their ages. Average time to hatching is usally 7 days.


The second fact is about their gender. Most of the people will think that in nature the gender of animals will be determined at birth and never change in the future. But for ocellaris clownfish, they can change their gender during their life. They are hermaphroditism. For example, An adult male clownfish and an adult female clownfish can be live together with some juveniles clownfish in a coral reef.When the female inthis group die. The oldest male will become to female to make sure this group of clownfish can still be survive in this coral reef. The third fact is bout the use for skin color of ocellaris clownfish. The ocellaris clownfish has light orange or yellow to attract other fish to the sea anemones. People can see ocellaris clownfish in the aquarium. Most of them because they are easy to keep and some reason is about the movie《Finding Nemo》.
